Rusticating in the Czech Republic

Czech Republic's largest producer of concrete products has just purchased a Rusticator, the Rusticator UNO provides the ability to distress products that normally could not be tumbled.  This innovative Czech facility is distressing many different types of blocks from concrete masonry units (CMU's) to segmental retaining walls. Rusticator DUO

Process double-sided products with one pass through the Rusticator. The new Rusticator DUO provides maximum performance and efficiency by distressing double-sided segmental retaining walls and CMU's, in-line or off-line- all with a single pass through the machine.

The Rusticator DUO is a specially configured and engineered machine utilizing the same solid technologies built into our single-sided Rusticator UNO machines. In essence, the duo is (2) single-sided machines, merged together and working in harmony. With consistent processing on both sides of the units, and complete automated control over all adjustments, the DUO give manufacturers an edge on the market, that is so needed today.

The first Rusticator DUO is in production and will be implemented at Borgert Products of St. Joseph, Minnesota. We are excited to work with Borgert Products again on this new project.

Distressing System Replaces Costly Tumbling

The demand for high-end block appearances such as those produces by tumbling, and with lean manufacturing becoming more important than ever, the need to achieve these costly product lines more efficiently has become an issue for many manufacturers. Rusticator Machinery LLC. has developed the Rusticator UNO to replace such costly tumbling operations.

The Rusticator UNO is an in-line concrete block distressing or “antiquing” machine that provides all the efficiencies of an in-line system. The Rusticator can process up to 30 units/ min while achieving the high-end tumbled-like appearances that the market demands. The Rusticator only requires one person to oversee the entire process, thereby significantly reducing labor costs, and a loss percentage of less than 1% compared to tumbling which can be as high as 20-25%. Distressing in-line with the Rusticator is truly a machine that will pay for itself in little time.

The Rusticator UNO is the latest version of in-line distressing machines that Rusticator Machinery LLC. has been designing and manufacturing since the year 2000. A patented three-stage system has evolved into a combination of two distressing technologies that produce the rival appearances that are only possible when distressing with the Rusticator. Completely adjustable and versatile enough to process single or double-sided units from heights of 3 inches up to 20 inches plus, the UNO gives manufacturers the ability to distress virtually any segmental retaining wall unit or concrete masonry unit.
